I met my good friend, Nero Negron, back in 2018 through my improv theater here in Miami, FL. We instantly connected due to our shared love of all things nerdy — Marvel movies, Star Wars, animation, and video games.

Throughout the pandemic we kept in touch even though he moved to another state. We’d talk about the latest gaming news. We did some voice over sessions with another buddy on Zoom. Also, both of us started our own video game-related side projects. He started streaming games on Twitch (ThatNeroNegron) and I started my gaming content site (myVGBC.com). 

I’ve thought of many reasons to have him as a guest on the myVGBC Podcast, but when he let me know he would be the voice of the title character in the upcoming (and now released) Ruffy and the Riverside game, I decided that would be the perfect reason to have him as a guest. During our long “catch up” chat we talked about how he got the role of Ruffy, Nero’s video game history, and some of his streaming highlights.
